It seems to be catching these days. I don’t know if partnering up has become its own fashion statement, or if it is a disease. But another mass marketer will be carrying a designer label.
Kohl’s is partnering with Vera Wang to launch a new collection, Very Vera. According to the Kohl’s corporate website, the line will consist of “sportswear, intimate apparel, handbags, leather accessories, jewelry, footwear, linens and towels.” I can’t believe this! I don’t know whether I should be excited or shocked. It will be great for the bargain fashion-hunter if the line turns out well. If it goes badly though, Vera stands to lose face in the fashion world.
Milwaukee News:
According to OnMilwaukee.com Aala Reed, a new upscale women’s store, is opening on 1320 E. Brady St. If you remember, this is the site of the previous clothing store, The Three Graces. Even though I was sad to see Graces go, it is nice that this space will continue being a clothing store. The store will carry upscale clothing from Hugo Boss, Gant USA and Ted Baker of London. The store celebrated the opening yesterday with a champagne open house.
