Waukesha's Art Crawl

Take in some live music, some great food and some fabulous art exhibits at the Art Crawl on Saturday (10/7) in Historic Downtown Waukesha (also known as just plain Waukesha). Many stores will be open for shopping until 10:00 p.m. or later.

Sadie Bryner, a cute store I mention often on this blog, is an official Red Hot Art Spot on the Crawl. They are also having a "deal on a deal" sale, where you can take and additional 15% off already reduced sale apparel. Enjoy!

Red Lite Nite in the Third Ward

This Friday night is Red Lite Nite again in the Third Ward. Shops will be kept open until 9 p.m. or later to provide some late night strolling and shopping. Stores involved include Lela, Broadway Paper, Sprout! , J. Bird Boutique and many others. Click here for a full list.

As for sales, J. Bird will be offering 25% off of all denim Friday only.

Blushing Bride Closes Down

It seems the owner of the Blushing Bride forgot to pay her taxes. The store declared bankrupcty and closed unexpectedly on Tuesday, without providing any of the dresses that were bought and paid for by brides. Terrible! Those poor brides.

Clothes and Shoes Rummage

The Three Holy Women on the Eastside is having its annual rummage sale this weekend. It is taking place at the Holy Rosary Hall on 10/6 from 10-5 and on 10/7 from 9-2. This sale is for clothing and shoes only!

Yellow Jacket Is Moving!

Yellow Jacket, a great vintage (not thrift!) store, will be relocating their business to 1237 E. Brady Street next to Bella's Fat Cat. They are opening their "new" doors for business on November 1st at noon. They will be keeping the same phone number and hours (7 days a week. Monday-Sat 12-7 & Sunday 12-5).

The new store will be "vintage and improved", expanding from just clothes to dishes, knick-knaks and misc. housewares.
